Things to see and do Founded in 827CE Polesworth Abbey has been a place of worship and pilgrimage for nearly 1200 years.
Come and visit us!
We have a fascinating history and are located in one of the most beautiful parts of North Warwickshire. Visit the Abbey Church once home to Benedictine Nuns still a place of worship for the community. Walk where the nuns once walked along the Medieval Cloister path.
See the Medieval Gatehouse once the home of the ‘English School’ in the time of Elizabeth I now one of the oldest buildings in Warwickshire. Find out where Michael Drayton and William Shakespeare were educated and lived in their early years.
We have excellent facilities for visitors, a free guide, a full-colour guide to buy, and offer a warm welcome.
